Mission
Wealth Management Operations, manage Traditional & Alternative Funds’ order execution and accounting trade flow.
Challenges
The role of the Fund Processing team within operations is to guarantee seamless execution and accounting of all trades inputted by the front office teams and related to funds (traditional and alternative). The key objective is to meet individual cut-offs and deadlines to ensure all trades are executed in due course based on the fund terms. Once the trade confirmations are received, prompt settlement and booking are essential to reflect finalized positions in the client account in the case of a subscription, respectively credit the cash received resulting from a redemption.
Main responsibilities
Alternative and traditional funds trade management and execution.
Ensure trades are placed and arrange payments according to the related cut-offs and dealing dates.
Monitor trade status and follow-up with all counterparties to receive trade confirmation and respective contract notes.
Ensure that all related documentation is available, stored and updated accordingly to allow STP documentation filling.
Answer and follow up accordingly for all AML/KYC requests sent by the funds in relations with the trades placed or the positions held.
Follow-up with the corporate action team to account for any pending or forthcoming event which could impact an existing trade.
Liaise with internal teams for instruments and counterparties accounts setups and updates (including wiring instructions).
Identify and solve promptly all security and cash breaks in relation with the activity.
Help analyze system infrastructure and existing process flows to determine gaps or opportunities for productivity increase, operational efficiency or risk reduction.
Constantly review operational processes to identify unnecessary or redundant tasks within the team and suggest operational and organization process changes.
Identify all possible automation opportunities in the current tasks to improve STP.
