Senior IT PMO

Description

Group Shared Services (GSS) The Bank’s entire operations are managed by GSS and are headed up by the Chief Operating Officer. The GSS division comprises Operations, Finance, Information Management, Human Resources and Logistics. Mission

The role holder will report to the IT Business Manager and oversee overall IT Project Management Methodology with project status and prioritization reporting to GSS and Wider Bank Senior Management.

Challenges

Large number of projects (circa 150 per year) running at any one time all varying in size which need to be managed. Multiple monitoring and tracking systems rather than one consolidated place.

Main responsabilities

Main duties

  • Project Methodology and standards
    • Implementation and enhancement of project governance controls and KRIs
    • Ensure all project methodology and related standards and procedures are actively being followed and tracked.
    • Monitoring and control of project gates and ensure proper use of methodology.
    • Responsible for the RAID management process, including thematic deep dives to ensure risks are mitigated, escalated and adressed.
    • Help to create project business cases.
    • Control and measure business benefits as a result of the projects.
    • Work closely with release management to ensure all control documentations are in place by required deadlines.
  • Project Porfolio reporting
    • Provide accurate and frequent reporting to business stakeholders
    • Project Portfolio follow-up, challenge and control (Planning, Scheduling, Change Control, Project control)
    • PPS (Project Portfolio Steering) preparation and follow-up
    • Manage and maintain the Project Portfolio Masterplan
    • Enhancement of the standard suit of MI reports across the portfolio
  • Project Porfolio Financials
    • Tracking and verification of Portfolio CAPEX accounts( forecasting and budgets) ensuring portfolio remains within annual budget
    • Porfolio yearly budget estimations management, challenge and preparation working with IT and Business Stakeholders
    • Tracking and validation of OPEX uplift as a result of the Portfolio deliveries.
  • Resources Management
    • IT Ext Resource management – to forecast budgets and contract vs planning mismatches
    • Resource & Team Capacity plan management (over /under planned resources across all of IT (450 fte+)

Education

  • Education: University Degree

Experience

  • Years of experience: 7-10 : senior
  • Experience required: Experience as a Senior PMO on complex business transformation programmes. In depth understanding of planning, RAID, Governance Processes (including programme board support), reporting, budget management/forecasting, business case creation and validation including benefits management and change control. Successful track record of thinking strategically, highlighting risks and barriers to the successful deliver of programme outcomes and benefits. Practical ability taking decisions on reporting quality and MI enhancements, challenging reports within Strong analytical, accounting and budgeting skills Experience in working in a multi-location/international environment Supplier and stakeholder management
  • Experience in private banking: Optional

Language

  • English: Fluent
  • French: Advanced
