QA Test Manager with execution and coordination activities - External Consultant one year contract

Description

The Bank’s entire operations are managed by COO Division and are headed up by the Chief Operating Officer. Mission

QA Test Manager with execution and coordination activities

Challenges

To oversee and execute the quality assurance and testing processes for software development, ensuring the final products meet Bank standards and user expectations.

Main responsibilities

Test Strategy Development: Design and develop comprehensive test strategies that align with project goals and timelines.

Test Plan Execution: Execute test plans manually, including functional, integration, system, and regression testing to identify software bugs and issues.

Quality Standards Enforcement: Ensure that all aspects of software development adhere to established quality standards and guidelines.

Bug Tracking and Reporting: Utilize bug tracking tools to document and report issues. Prioritize bug fixes with the development team and track progress until resolution. 

Test Automation: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of test automation frameworks, where applicable, to improve efficiency in testing processes.

Process Improvement: Continually assess testing processes and practices for efficiency and effectiveness, implementing improvements as needed.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand features and technical implementation, ensuring test plans cover all scenarios.

Reporting: Provide regular reports to the QA Team Lead on testing status, insights, and recommendations for improving product quality.

Business and Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including developers, product managers, and other teams, to ensure alignment on quality objectives.

Banking Industry Knowledge: Minimum of  5 experience in the banking sector, with a strong understanding of banking operations, regulations, and digital transformation trends.

Database Skills: Proficient in database scripting and querying languages (e.g., SQL) to validate data integrity and perform back-end testing.

Technical Proficiency: Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium) and knowledge of software development languages (e.g., Java, Python) preferred.

Analytical Tools: Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools to derive insights from test results and improve testing strategies.

Agile Methodology: Experience working in an Agile development environment, with an understanding of Scrum and Kanban principles.

Security Testing: Knowledge of security testing best practices and regulations relevant to the banking industry is a plus.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all software testing adheres to banking regulations and standards for security and data privacy.

Data Validation: Execute database scripts and queries as part of testing strategies to ensure data integrity and alignment with requirements.

Technical Testing: Conduct technical tests and analyses to identify system vulnerabilities or performance issues that could impact banking operations.

Defect tracking and Test Management Tools:  Experience with JIRA and JIRA-X-Ray is a must.

 

 

 

 

Education

  • Education: Bachelor Degree
  • Certification: Bacherlor or Masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Technical skills: Strong knowledge of SQL and mathematical skills; good knowledge of at least one programming language

Experience

  • Years of experience: 3-7 : intermediate
  • Experience required: Proven experience in QA testing, including manual testing, and familiarity with automation testing tools. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases.
  • Experience in private banking: Mandatory

Language

  • English: Fluent
  • French: Advanced
