Wealth & Financial Planning

Union Bancaire Privée (UK) Limited helps you to organise and structure your assets in the right way, so you can enjoy the freedom that comes with knowing you have a secure financial future.

A comprehensive wealth plan is key to taking care of your wealth for current and future generations. Whether you require a thorough review of your finances or specific advice on a particular aspect of your needs, wealth planning experts can help.

Our wealth planners are specialist advisers who analyse your personal and professional assets and suggest a flexible wealth strategy according to your needs.

Global Wealth Strategy: Personalised Financial Planning

At the beginning of our relationship with you, we’ll make sure we fully understand your circumstances, priorities and goals. Cashflow modelling provides a comprehensive overview of your current financial situation and can forecast the implications of a life event, such as selling your business, inheriting a lump sum or gifting your assets. It can also help forecast certain objectives, for example retiring at a certain age with a specified level of income.

Our clients often have assets in or connections with more than one country. We can help structure bespoke solutions which provide cross-border compliance and governance of family wealth.

Wealth Accumulation

By investing your wealth, you can seek to protect its spending power against the impact of inflation. We aim to help you maximise your investments, by making sure you’re taking full advantage of tax allowances.

Financial Protection

Life is full of surprises. Although there’s no way of knowing what’s around the corner, with the right plans in place you can make sure your finances are the last thing you or your family need to worry about when times are most challenging.

Retirement Planning

The concept of retiring means different things to each of us. For some, it’s an opportunity to take the skills developed over a lifetime of work in new directions. For others, it’s a time to start enjoying even more of what life has to offer.

Estate Planning

Inheritance is one of the most challenging areas of financial planning, where different emotions, values and expectations collide. It’s important to start talking about passing on wealth early in life so that you can begin to organise your assets before it’s too late.

Wealth Structuring, Family Governance, Philanthropy

Adopting long-term strategies that secure your wealth and legacy for future generations is integral to wealth planning. We work with you to establish appropriate ownership structures for your assets, align your family values across generations and create impact in areas that resonate with you. Our multidimensional approach enhances the overall efficiency of your wealth management strategy.

UBP Weekly View - Risk appetite holds firm

The Israel–Iran ceasefire has eased concerns about energy prices, thus curbing inflation pressures and maintaining the prospect of a rate cut by the Federal Reserve this autumn. Investor sentiment remains strong, notably on the technology sector. However, the unpredictability of geopolitical developments, coupled with the looming 90-day tariff-pause deadline, leads us to maintain a broad diversification across asset classes and regions.

UBP Weekly View - Volatility mounts on Middle East escalation

Despite the escalating geopolitical tensions between Israel, Iran and the US, equity and bond markets are – for now – not pricing in a worst-case scenario. In this context, a diversified allocation is warranted to contain tail risks and mitigate mounting volatility. Gold continues to serve as a hedge against extreme shocks.

Israel–Iran: the dawn of a new global risk regime?

Israel’s ‘pre-emptive’ strikes against Iran on 13 June represent a meaningful escalation in what had been Israel’s ongoing battle against primarily Iranian proxies. The conflict has now shifted towards a direct confrontation between the two regional powers in the Middle East.

UBP Weekly View - Trade deals in the spotlight

Markets rallied on US–China trade deal progress and soft US inflation data, boosting risk assets and expectations of a Fed rate cut. Yields fell while credit spreads tightened. However, at the end of the week gains faded as Israel–Iran tensions flared up, but this lifted defence stocks. The US dollar weakened, while gold and oil rose on geopolitical tensions.

Private banking: a changing of the guard in the industry

For the younger generation, private banking is no longer necessarily as attractive a business sector as it was for their predecessors. Nonetheless, these institutions’ recruitment needs remain high, and attracting young talent is becoming an increasingly important issue for them.
