Head of Institutional Client Onboarding & Rebate Management

Description

This position offers growth opportunities towards a role overseeing wholesales & Institutional clients onboarding. Through the Asset Management division, we offer to institutional clients’ investment management capabilities organised across the business lines Long-Only Platform, Alternative Investment Solutions, Private Markets Group, Partnerships, Asset Allocation & DPM.

Mission

The Institutional Client Division of Union Bancaire Privée is seeking a highly skilled individual to oversee the onboarding and management of wholesale client relationships and rebate processes.

Challenges

This role is pivotal in negotiating and managing distribution and retrocession agreements, ensuring compliance with terms, and overseeing accurate and timely financial transactions.

Main responsibilities

Oversight of Global Distribution Network:

Negotiate and manage retrocession and distribution agreements with external partners.

Validate and implement agreed terms in systems accurately.

Review periodically agreements, distribution strategies and associated processes to identify opportunities for optimization.

 Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and policies throughout the distribution network.

 Financial Management and Reconciliation:

Calculate and ensure the accuracy of accounting provisions in cooperation with Group Finance.

Perform reconciliations and controls to ensure accuracy and completeness of retrocessions.

Process retrocession payments accurately and on schedule.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Report on key performance indicators such as sales volume and profitability.

Conduct periodic reviews of retrocession agreements and distribution strategies to identify optimization opportunities.

Contribute to ad-hoc assignements and projects within the Asset Management Institutional Client Service team.

Education

  • Education: Bachelor Degree
  • IT Tools: Strong MS Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and ability to use web-based technology

Experience

  • Years of experience: 3-7 : intermediate
  • Experience required: 5-7 years of relevant Asset Management experience Knowledge of investment solutions across the asset class spectrum and relevant industry regulation. • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, with a solution-focused mindset. • Technologically proficient, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements. • Proven stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate w ith internal and external stakeholders across all seniority levels. • Be highly self-motivated, and confident working independently and autonomously. • Be comfortable in a results-driven environment, with willingness and ability to learn quickly, and adapt to challenges.
  • Experience in private banking: Mandatory

Language

  • English: Fluent
