Beyond performance: curiosity, responsibility, and the discipline to see ideas through.

Passionate about football and hockey respectively, these two colleagues have put their eloquence to good use by being sports journalists in their free time.

Our colleague Gabriel Matos is both an assistant relationship manager at UBP and a professional 1500-metre and cross-country athlete. An example of conviction and dedication.

David Yarrow is not one to take the expected route. Now one of the world’s best-known fine art photographers, he began his professional life in finance – first as an investment banker, then running his own hedge fund. UBP Monaco is currently exhibiting David's work, and we had the chance to interview him about his career and his creative process.

Sophie Lavaud knows what it takes to reach the top. In 2023, she became the first Swiss woman to complete the Himalayan Grand Slam, summiting all fourteen 8,000-metre peaks. But for a mountaineer of her calibre, experience sometimes tells her when the risks outweigh the rewards.

In early June our Monaco office hosted a private viewing for some clients of a selection of the renowned photographer David Yarrow’s most iconic works, with the artist himself present.
