UBP employees across Asia have been making a meaningful impact in their communities through various volunteering initiatives, showcasing the power of compassion and connection. From Singapore to Hong Kong, their efforts bring joy, support, and hope to those in need.
In Singapore, the Recreation and Social Engagement Committee (ReSE) partnered with the Asia Women’s Welfare Association (AWWA) to organise three rewarding outings in 2025. AWWA, a leading social service agency founded in 1970, supports over 6,000 clients annually, including children and adults with additional needs, vulnerable families, and seniors. UBP volunteers participated in activities such as a body scrub and hand wash powder workshop at AWWA Home in June, where they guided residents in creating personal care products. In September, they accompanied disabled individuals to the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Finally, in December, they joined children from the Kindle Garden preschool on a visit to the Oceanarium on Sentosa Island. These outings emphasised genuine connection, with volunteers fostering memorable moments through simple gestures and shared smiles. As Jeradin Ng, Head of HR Singapore and the instigator of the initiatives, noted, “Every outing reminded us that connection rarely needs words – it simply needs presence and a willing heart.”

Meanwhile, in Hong Kong, the Philanthropy by U (PBU) team embraced the spirit of giving during the festive season. They hosted a Christmas concert featuring children from the Youth-for-Youth Music Programme, supported by PBU in partnership with the YMCA and OneSky. The event, supported and attended by renowned violinist Angela Chan, celebrated the transformative power of music, offering underprivileged children a platform to showcase their talents. Additionally, UBP volunteers contributed to the Mother’s Choice Foster Children Christmas Carnival by organising games and arts & crafts booths. They also packed over 500 Boxes of Hope containing school supplies, hygiene items, and toys for children in need, with surplus donations aiding disaster relief efforts for families affected by a fire in Tai Po. Aaron Choi, Business Manager, Operations, Hong Kong, reflected, “When we come together to give, we create lasting, positive change.”

These initiatives creating meaningful connections and fostering positive change in the communities we serve highlight the far-reaching drive of our talented professionals which embodies UBP’s spirit of entrepreneurship and dedication.
