On 20 and 21 June UBP held its annual exclusive visits of Art Basel for clients: an opportunity valued by clients and bankers alike for exchanging on topics of mutual interest and nurturing their ties.

This year being the 100th anniversary of the birth of Swiss sculptor Jean Tinguely – best known for his fascinating kinetic sculptures – the leading international art fair was marking the occasion with special exhibitions and events. This was a timely commemoration of Tinguely’s questioning of complicated machinery and overproduction in our current new wave of digital automation.

The Tinguely Museum and its Bistro Chez Jeannot were therefore the destination for our clients on the first day. On the second day the guests were then shown around the Unlimited display on a private tour, followed a flying dinner at the exclusive Club de Bâle.

Art has long been an important medium of communication between UBP and its clients, many of whom are collectors. Just like the exhibitions at our Monaco branch improve the client experience, the annual Art Basel visits are a highly appreciated event in the UBP calendar. They are a valued way of connecting with clients and maintaining our strong relationships with them.
