UBP Investment Insight Summit 2019

UBP Investment Insight Summit 2019

Our Asset Management division successfully hosted its second pan-European conference on 22 and 23 May in Zurich.

More than 100 clients and guests from the UK, the Nordics, Chile, Israel, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Spain and Switzerland attended the event.

The aim with this annual event is to give our institutional clients a broad overview of current industry talking points. The programme consists of an attractive mix of varied and stimulating topics to focus the attention of the top management and decision-makers among our institutional client base. The audience appreciated the high quality of the internal and external speakers, and the stimulating and critical discussion that followed. The overall approach is deliberately to keep away from financial products and instead to concentrate on markets and evolving economic trends. A series of keynote speeches, round-table discussions and workshops successfully managed the balancing act between macro, markets and “outside-the-box” debates.

UBP succeeded in signing up outstanding speakers including Dr. Jacob Rowe, a leading medical expert in the field of haematology, Richard Mullender, a former Lead Trainer at the National Crisis and Hostage Negotiation Unit at Scotland Yard, and Yodia Lo, Senior Alternatives Analyst at Church Commissioners for England.

“The fact that many of last year’s attendees joined us again this May and the continuous growth of the event supports our concept of giving a platform for broad topics paired with high interactivity and meaningful networking opportunities. Clients and guests appreciated the open architecture of the topics discussed as well as the excellent quality of the speakers,”

says Nicolas Faller, Co-CEO Asset Management and Head of Institutional Clients.

Social & Affordable Housing

Over 1.1 million households in England are on local authority waiting lists for affordable housing. Furthermore, it is widely expected that waiting lists will lengthen as more households will be forced to seek cheaper accommodation due to the impact of COVID-19.
