To fund its sailing adventures for youngsters recovering from cancer, Léman Hope runs the corporate challenge Swim4Lemanhope where volunteers swim in relay to raise awareness and money. UBP participated again this summer, both in Lake Geneva and in Lake Zurich.
The charity Léman Hope puts all its energy into helping children who have been through cancer treatment to move on, restore their confidence in the future and their abilities, gain some independence, and meet new people. This takes the form of week-long cruises on Lake Geneva where they learn to sail and cook, make friends, swim, and have water fights.
"What started as a swim became something much bigger: colleagues supporting one another while swimming for children who have already overcome extraordinary challenges. It was a pleasure to be part of this event and support such a meaningful cause together as a team."

And these adventures that create lasting memories are partly funded by money raised with the Swim4LemanHope challenge, which UBP has been taking part in since 2024.
Joining in the Swim4LemanHope challenge to raise funds for this worthy cause was a no-brainer again this year for 57 of our colleagues in Switzerland: they got into teams and swam in relay between 500 metres and 3 kilometres each, covering a total of 69 km in lakes Zurich and Geneva.
By joining this effort, the swimmers have supported a worthy cause and helped make a tangible difference for families in our community with their collective action. The UBP squad felt gratified that their collective effort raised significant funds, and they enjoyed the true team spirit and solidarity it created.
