Description
Based in Luxembourg, you will provide support to Union Bancaire Privée (Europe) compliance team by operating in the daily compliance activities for the entity in Luxembourg and its branches in Lisbon and Milan.
Mission
You will ensure that client on-boarding and monitoring operations adhere to the requirements of the CSSF and all relevant compliance-related laws and regulations including AML/CFT, Sanctions, Anti-bribery and Corruption.
Main responsibilities
- Assisting the Chief Compliance Officer of Union Bancaire Privée (Europe) in its prime responsibility to comply with all relevant AML/CFT/Sanctions/ABC policies and procedures, from group guidance and local regulatory perspective in order to ensure that the entity and its branches have an effective control framework with ongoing reviewing and testing programs in place.
- You will contribute to manage AML/CFT/Sanctions/ABC on client on-boarding, account surveillance and monitoring.
- Provide expertise support to the front-office team and/or other staff in regards to AML/CFT/S/ABC matters (account openings, transactions monitoring etc).
- Conduct necessary Compliance support on regular client reviews and surveillance on Compliance and AML/CFT/S/ABC controls framework, including but not limited to client acceptance, periodic reviews, client screening clearance and company-wide compliance risk assessments.
- Proactive analyse -in a continuous way- of any eventual deficiencies (systems, process, tools) and provide recommendations to improve their accuracy and quality.
- Contribute on the preparation of ad hoc committees related to Account opening, AML, High Risks, PEP.
- Collaborate with the Compliance team and other departments to implement compliance policies.
- Assist the Compliance Team in any other work matters and projects, when required.

Strong knowledge of regulatory banking environment in Luxembourg. Strong analytical skills, responsiveness, Client-centric & Solution-driven. Excellent interpersonal abilities to communicate, facing tough situations, with interlocutors at all levels of the hierarchy. Dynamic personality, accustomed to both working in a team and in an independent manner.
Education
- Education: Master Degree
- Certification: Law / Economics / Wealth Management
- IT Tools: Advanced user in Microsoft Office and usual Compliance tools.
Experience
- Years of experience: 3-7 : intermediate
- Experience required: At least 3 years of experience in similar position either in Private Banking, Consultancy or Auditing sector.
- Experience in private banking: Mandatory
