Financial Market Data Management is at the heart of everything we do. The need to maintain high data standards call for innovative technologies to detect data issues proactively and significantly improve data quality.


Main responsibilities

Client Partnership

Establish a strong partnership between the head of the product lines using instrument data and more generally financial market data.

Develop and maintain relationships with internal clients, domain leaders and identifying opportunities to achieve operational excellence and data quality.

Manage client stakeholders, understanding their needs, and ensuring that technical solutions meet expectations.

Work hand in hand with data analysts to understand their day to day activities in order to propose technology solutions to increase productivity, data quality, maintainability and the platform’s operational processes.

Help structure and manage the underlying vendor relationships jointly with the business lines.

 

Expertise

Provide technical expertise and direction to the technology team, to define and implement the solution design.

Provide technical support and guidance to client domain leaders, resolving issues and ensuring their satisfaction.

Conduct regular technical reviews and assessments to ensure that projects are on track and meeting the required technical standards.

Collaborate with the delivery team to ensure that the technical solutions are aligned with the overall business objectives of the organization.

Work closely with other teams and key external vendors to integrate with other applications or platforms, ensuring seamless interoperability and data consistency.

Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of the technical solutions, by implementing appropriate security measures and monitoring systems.

 


Personal skills

  • Ability to functionally understand the problem statements being solved for
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box and find innovative solutions
  • Experience in wealth management / private banking is beneficial for this role but not a must for the right leader
  • Familiarity with security and compliance regulations
  • Proven experience in managing client stakeholders
  • Willingness to undertake frequent short term overseas travel
  • Expertise in data modeling capabilities and ability to model financial entities
  • Understanding and experience in designing and developing data driven mission critical systems.


    Education

    • Education: Master Degree
    • Technical skills: Strong technical knowledge and expertise in software development, infrastructure, and architecture.
    • IT Tools: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and/or ability to understand advanced SQL is a must.

    Experience

    • Years of experience: +10 : senior
    • Experience required: Strong knowledge of financial instruments. A hands-on experience on market data management systems. A hands-on experience and detailed knowledge of the Markit EDM product is a strong plus for this position.
