Description
The Bank’s entire operations are managed by COO Division and are headed up by the Chief Operating Officer. It strives to provide both in-house and external clients with a first-rate service to ensure our business operates efficiently and at the best possible cost. The COO division comprises Operations, Finance, Information Management, Human Resources and Logistics. COO employees are committed to providing, with professionalism and enthusiasm, an efficient, proactive, high-quality service that meets the needs of clients within the context of the Bank’s overall strategy.
Mission
Handle all processes linked to the management of voluntary and mandatory Corporate Actions (including income) for all types of asset: Equity, bonds but mainly funds (mutual, hedge) and private equities.
Main responsibilities
Daily business responsibilities: Handle activities of one of the following pools:
Receipt of information:
Cross analyze information received: custodians swifts, agent/Funds prospectus and financial providers (such as Bloomberg, Telekurs)
Create adequate corporate event in the corporate action database
Answer to questions from Relationship Managers, other internal departments, external parties including clients.
Notification of information:
Write announcement to Relationship Managers and Clients
Instruction processing:
Reconcile holdings, determine entitlements, manage pending positions.
Collect and follow up on instructions
Transmit instructions to our correspondents, Funds manager and/or other external parties, control of their safe delivery and acceptance
Allocation to clients:
Book corporate actions events in clients’ accounts (cash and/or securities)
Handle the processing of income-related transactions, including dividends, interest payments, and other income distributions received by the bank on behalf of its clients. Ensure accurate and timely processing of income payments in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
Apply standard and local tax rules and perform operational follow up. Manage Affidavits declaration with applicable depositaries for CH Funds held by CH residents.
Review the overnight bookings
Overall responsibilities
Follow-up on various topics and issues over the lifecycle of a Corporate Action
Interchange from one pool to the other, depending on needs
Collaborate with others team members outside the assigned pool
