Mission
The Operations Officer will be responsible for overseeing a range of operational support activities for the UBP Lugano branch office.
Main responsibilities
Reception Management (Primary Responsibility):
Oversee client reception and ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
Manage call center operations to ensure efficient communication and professional client support
Organize and coordinate client lunches
Manage meeting room bookings and arrangements
Coordinate and manage the distribution of Christmas gifts to clients
Handle the ordering and inventory of office supplies
Manage car rental services
Cash Desk Management (Deputy Role):
Cash handling and transactions, operate and manage the cash machine
Oversee the management of the bank vault
Handle physical certificates and sealed envelopes with confidentiality
Manage physical gold storage and transactions
Safe Deposit Box: Facilitate client visits to safe deposit boxes, ensuring a secure and professional experience
Accounting and Finance Control (Deputy Role):
Local financial support; Provide local assistance to the Zurich finance-department
Invoice Processing; Perform initial input and processing of invoices
Expense Report Validation; Review and validate expense reports
COO (Chief Operating Officer) Support:
Support in the organization of events
Provide support to the management by preparing data and presentations
Logistics management; Oversee parcel shipping operations
Mail Handling; Manage internal and external mail processes
This is a 100% role located in Lugano. Due to the responsibilities associated with this role, remote work arrangements are not possible.

Education
- Education: Diploma
- Certification: Commercial education
- Technical skills: Microsoft Office
Experience
- Years of experience: 3-7 : intermediate
- Experience required:
- A solid foundation in commercial education is required
- Understanding of operational banking processes is needed for this role
- 3-7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry
- Highly proficient in MS Office, including Excel
- Fluent in Italian and English; proficiency in German and/or French is advantageous
- Strong analytical skills, ability to analyse complex data effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in private banking: Preferred
