Operations & Client Support Officer - 12 months

Support UBPIAS clients and staff in dealing with any operational matters related to Investment Services delivered by the Entity to its clients, in full compliance with the business regulatory framework.


Provide high quality service to our clients.

Main responsabilities

Client related tasks

Support the entity clients in all business matters that requires help, either with the entity or the Group

Support the client’ account opening/closing and overall life cycle process

Ensures that contractual client forms and documentation are up-to-date and comply with internal entity or Group directives

Support client documentation remediation processes in coordination with the Custodian

Support the delivery of key reports/communications sent to clients on a regular basis, or ad’hoc, including -  but not limited to - Tax reports

Assist Clients / Advisors in addressing clients’ transactions/instructions/requests in a swift and professional manner with the support of the team’s advisors or experts

Contribute to maintain and cultivate good relationships with clients to ensure a high level of satisfaction

Back up other client facing team members when necessary


Administrative tasks

Maintain client files up to date in coordination with the Custodian if necessary

Maintain and execute all recurring reviews/tasks

Contribute to ensure data quality in the Entity’s CRM (update information, conduct regular reviews and make updates, etc.)

Ensures that necessary checks have been carried out before initiating or authorizing fund outflows


Operations related projects

Contribute to internal projects related to IT, Clients deliveries or documentation, Internal Audit recommendations

Produce specific UBPIAS activity reports for Senior Management

Manage data monitoring (clients, portfolio information, etc.)


Marketing Tasks

Contribute to produce relevant Marketing Material for Client and UBP IAS team if needed

Good sense of communication with Internal & External UBPIAS Partners


Compliance with regulations and internal directives

Know and apply banking laws and regulations (SBA directives, FINMA circulars, Money Laundering Act, Code of Obligations, Federal Law on Banks, Collective Investment Schemes Act, etc.)

Know and apply internal directives, in particular with regards to Anti-money-laundering, Cross-border policy, Investment policy, Investment Suitability, Documenting client contacts/visits, executing transactions, responding to client queries and documenting such activity, business travels

Know and apply specific rules (regarding products, taxes) in force in clients’ core markets, based on the reference documents or, where required, on the external’s expertise


Training and duty to keep informed

Attend the Group’s compulsory in-house training sessions and, where applicable, external courses upon request


  • Education: Bachelor Degree
  • Certification: Bachelor in Finance or other sciences; Master of Finance preferred


  • Years of experience: 3-7 : intermediate
  • Experience required: Minimum 5 years’ experience in Wealth Management / Private Banking or of which at least 2 years in an operations/assistant role
  • Experience in private banking: Mandatory


  • English: Fluent

Personal skills

  • Swiss resident: Mandatory
