IT Client Data Migration Developer - External Consultant - 6 months

Description

The Bank’s entire operations are managed by COO Division and are headed up by the Chief Operating Officer. It strives to provide both in-house and external clients with a first-rate service to ensure our business operates efficiently and at the best possible cost. The COO division comprises Operations, Finance, Information Management, Human Resources and Logistics. COO employees are committed to providing, with professionalism and enthusiasm, an efficient, proactive, high-quality service that meets the needs of clients within the context of the Bank’s overall strategy.

Mission

As the Bank is about to acquire 2 international banks in Luxembourg and Switzerland, 2 migration projects have been setup. We need an IT developer dedicated to client data to develop, debug, execute and monitor the migration.

Challenges

Developer dedicated to the Client Data Management migration of banks

Main responsabilities

Development of data transformation and data migration scripts using Sybase ASE SQL stored procedures and functions

Development of file transfer scripts using Linux / KornShell / Bash language

Debug scripts when exceptions raise, find the SQL table and the data responsible for the exception

Development without formal business nor technical specifications

Development in a short lifecycle phase (2-3 weeks between releases)

Ensure development done using as much parameters as possible : thing that the global migration application will by used for several bank migration

Education

  • Education: Bachelor Degree
  • Technical skills: Sybase ASE SQL, Linux script/KornShell

Experience

  • Years of experience: 3-7 : intermediate
  • Experience in private banking: Mandatory

Language

  • English: Advanced
  • French: Advanced
  • English: Intermediate

Personal skills

  • Swiss resident: Mandatory

A high level of IT development ability The ability to analyze, model and interpret data models : Client Data and/or Banking data Good analytical skills, attention to details • High resistance to stress Help in troubleshooting ongoing Product/Project related issue Possible business travel 1 week per month in Luxembourg, but not mandatory
