Data Analyst


Group Internal Audit (GIA) has decided to invest time and effort into building strong audit analytics capacities to be more efficient and to be able to create deeper insights to the benefit of its stakeholders.


GIA recently started to automate and transform some of its work methods. In this context, we are looking for a new team member who will support us in this new initiative and help ensure its long-term success.

Main responsabilities

  • Operationally drive the construction and continuous improvement of the team’s analytics competences
  • Perform initial analyses of new audit analytics requirements and assess feasibility.
  • Develop, document, maintain and enhance the team’s analytics tools.
  • Maintain GIA’s data analytics sharepoint
  • Explore, document, and procure data sources for GIA’s work, with the objective to enable GIA to work as autonomously as possible.
  • Upon request and in the context of audit assignments, perform data extractions on behalf of team members and ensure completeness of accuracy of the data provided.
  • Work with team members to support their analytics work
  • Implement the automation of analytics tools, including the establishment of database connections or workarounds.
  • Liaise with IT, data owners and other data analysts and build good working relationships.
  • Provide training and support to the team on the data analytics tools



  • Curiosity for understanding strategic issues and business models
  • Excellent analytical skills, be able to decompose a problem and identify the logical steps to solve it
  • Data profiling skills to query the data, identify anomalies, gaps and issues, manipulate and analyze large-scale data sets, perform root cause analysis
  • Knowledge and experience in the presentation and communication of data analytics results
  • Experience with databases, comfortable working with SQL
  • Advanced command of VBA and scripting languages
  • Very good Excel skills
  • Working experience with Tableau and Business Objects is a plus.


  • Education: Master Degree
  • Certification: Information Technology; Management, Sciences or Economics


  • Years of experience: 3-7 : intermediate
  • Experience in private banking: Mandatory


  • English: Mother Tongue
  • French: Advanced

  • Swiss resident: Mandatory
