Compliance Tax Specialist

Description

Risks and Compliance is an independent division which monitors the Bank's activities to ensure they are fully in compliance with all relevant laws, rules and regulations while always keeping a close eye on client's interests. The division is involved in the management of all the Bank's operations, monitoring its activities to keep them within the defined risk framework, and participates in the approval process for new developments in products and services. It is dedicated to supporting our Bank business lines at the same time as protecting the Bank's interests and reputation.

Mission

Ensure the Bank's compliance with QI, FATCA and CRS regulations. Ensure that the client is compliant with key tax Compliance laws, regulations and internal guidelines.

Challenges

Keep up to date with regulatory changes. Be able to respond to all queries from the Front Office, Tax Services and the Responsible Officer. Assist the front office with questions at onboarding and change in circumstances.

Main responsabilities

  • Provide high quality advice and support on QI, FATCA and CRS rules and act as a first contact instance for business

  • Analyse complex cases together with Compliance WM at onboarding

  • Liase with all major stakeholders, coordinate and review solutions from a US tax and CRS perspective

  • Draft and update internal processes and procedures relating to QI (QDD), FATCA and CRS (Compliance Program)

  • Draft and update client tax documentation as well as communications to the Front Office and Clients

  • Act as an escalation unit for the Client Documentation Team and provide advice to Tax Services

  • Give training on QI, FATCA and CRS to the Front Office and Client Documentation Teams

  • Provide high quality advice and support on QI, FATCA and CRS rules to the booking centers outside Switzerland

Education

  • Education: Master Degree
  • Certification: Master in Law

Experience

  • Years of experience: 3-7 : intermediate
  • Experience in private banking: Mandatory

Language

  • French: Mother Tongue (or Fluent)
  • English: Fluent
  • German: Basic

Personal skills

  • Swiss resident: Mandatory

• Capacity to work under pressure • Team spirit • Conceptual capability:can adopt to new challenges and think strategically • Good communication skills • Excellent analytical skills
