UBP Next Generation Academy strikes again

In 2017 and 2018 UBP hosted two sessions of the UBP Next Generation Academy, an educational programme designed with the leading business school INSEAD to help our clients’ offspring in their careers as entrepreneurs.

Following on from the success of this initiative, we decided to strengthen the existing UBP Next Gen alumni community by organising a reunion for those who had taken part in the events.

This reunion took place from 19 to 21 June in Monaco and we were happy to welcome participants representing the next generation of our UHNWI clients. It started with a welcome reception hosted by Guy de Picciotto, followed the next day by a number of sessions on entrepreneurship led by UBP experts and external speakers. The programme included an informal Q&A session with our CEO where attendees had the opportunity to ask him business-related questions as well as receiving some valuable advice. On Thursday evening, UBP hosted a working dinner around the theme of family businesses which was attended by Anne de Picciotto.

The host for the final day of activity was FuckUp Nights (FUN), a global movement born in Mexico in 2012 with the aim of sharing stories of epic business failures. The keynote speech from Yannick Kwick preceded the workshop on failures hosted by the FUN team. The participants were divided into groups and had to tell their failure stories, and share the lessons they have learned from them, in front of all the other attendees.
