Interview with Olivier Eyries, Co-Founder of Alaya, and Yasmin Hediger, Non-Profit Relations Manager - Alaya
As part of its sponsorship and charity work, UBP regularly provides support for a wide range of social, cultural and educational projects, both in Geneva and around the world. For several years, the Bank has also promoted staff community engagement by giving its employees a day’s leave each year so that those who wish to can take part in projects being run by organisations that carry out social or humanitarian work.
“By combining small actions, we believe we can make this society a better place.”
says Olivier (Co-founder Alaya).
UBP is pleased to announce that it is teaming up with Alaya, with the aim of promoting greater staff community engagement. Built on the values of goodwill, social support and innovation, this digital platform aims to facilitate staff community engagement by offering companies tailored solutions.
Alaya’s innovation is found in its ability to put staff who wish to contribute in contact – in a dynamic and personalised way – with local and international community associations that organise meaningful projects with a real, measurable impact. UBP and Alaya both share the conviction that by combining individual efforts and multiplying small actions, it is possible to make society a better place. They are both also convinced that community engagement fosters employees’ personal growth and development, as well as teamwork.
This digital platform gives you access to more than 150 charitable organisations that are looking for volunteers, skills and donations. Alaya enables everyone, depending on their interests and fields of expertise, to get involved in a wide variety of ways, such as group volunteering, skills-based volunteering, collecting goods, and organising fundraising or direct donations. Furthermore, Alaya offers those staff who are already involved with a charity the possibility of boosting the visibility of their work by offering them the chance to have searches for their charity optimised on the platform.
