Our dedicated equity trading team uses cutting-edge electronic trading systems to ensure the fast and accurate execution of orders and UBP prides itself on speed, reliability and low error rates. Our Capital Markets team tracks new issues and secondary placements on the major equity markets. It also regularly produces a list of trading opportunities.

Alongside the trading team, UBP’s gobal equity research team is made up of experienced sector analysts who have worked in the field for an average of ten years. The skills base that they have developed is fundamental to best serving our clients’ needs, and means that our analysts have seen a number of market cycles, enabling them to develop excellent track records and extensive market expertise.

Our analysts’ investment process aims to take advantage of opportunities which present themselves over the course of a company’s life cycle. They conduct rigorous fundamental and quantitative analysis on a large number of companies, and have worldwide coverage of all equity sectors.

Having developed a proprietary analysis tool, our analysts are able to select companies that are susceptible to beat the market. Their stock-picking has outperformed the MSCI World in every calendar year since 2005, consistently outperforming in all market phases.

The research team also manages dynamic equity baskets (structured products similar to traditional long-only funds in their investment approach) following investment themes. Their structure makes these products very flexible and they can be custom-made in various currencies starting at USD 5 million to fit the needs of each private or institutional client.
