WHO:   Rising 8th-12th-graders who have at least taken pre-algebra

WHAT:  2003 KnowledgeBase Summer Academy
       Registration Fee: $225 (partial scholarships available)
       Register Online!

WHEN:  We will host two one-week sessions this Summer:

         Session 1: Monday, July 21, 2003 to 
                    Friday, July 25, 2003 
                    from 9 A.M. - 3 P.M.
         Session 2: Monday, July 28, 2003 to 
                    Friday, August 1, 2003 
                    from 9 A.M. - 3 P.M.

WHERE: Georgia Tech Student Center
       Driving directions to Georgia Tech Student Center

WHY:   To enhance participants' reading, writing, math, leadership,
       entrepreneurship, and critical thinking skills in "edutaining"
       (educating + entertaining) ways.

       These ends are accomplished through interactive problem solving,
       skill-enhancing classes, technology demonstrations, and
       concept-reinforcing games.

       The 2003 KnowledgeBase Summer Academy will allow students to:

          1. Rebuild and take home a multimedia Pentium-level computer 
             (including monitor, keyboard, mouse and modem).
          2. Use music and poetry to bring attention to social causes.
          3. Build an accompanying Web site to bring attention to 
             social causes.
          4. Learn to use the Internet as a research tool.

HOW:   1. Register Online! by Friday, June 6, 2003.

          Those who choose to print and complete the application
          should either mail it or FAX it by 6 PM Friday, June 6, 
          2003 to

       2.  Final selections will be made by Friday, June 13, 2003.
